Explore 613's annual Halloween House Map is back for it’s FIFTH YEAR! Showcasing the most spooktacular spots in the entire 613. This detailed guide highlights handmade haunted houses, wicked decorations, and local businesses offering Halloween-themed activities. From family-friendly fun to thrilling scares, our map is ready for you to have an unforgettable Halloween experience for all ages. A Quick Note:
I love to see all the decorated homes added to the map not just elaborate ones - simple, cute and fun displays put just as many smiles on faces as huge elaborate yard and street displays (plus they are great for the little kiddos!). Sending in a photo with your submission makes it easy for people to decide if they want to make it part of their tour. I add every single house that is submitted, not just the “most decorated in the neighbourhood” - that is why I have categories and tags. My family and I try to make it a point every year to see almost EVERY house that is submitted, that was 200 submissions in 2023! If you need me to come by your house and take a photo or video for the map - reach out and I will be more happy to do so. Plus, I love to meet fellow haunters! What’s on the 2024 Halloween Map?
1. Haunted Houses & Walkthroughs
Prepare for some pulse-pounding thrills with Ottawa’s top haunted houses and walkthrough yards. The map highlights everything from immersive haunted houses to chilling graveyard scenes. I’ve included all the must-visit spots, including local favourites and hidden gems that will leave you screaming for more!
2. Fun Halloween Displays
613 homeowners are ready to dazzle you with some of the most elaborate Halloween decorations in the region. This year’s map pinpoints neighbourhoods with run-for-your-life horror scenes, over-the-top light displays, spooky inflatables, cutesy Halloween decor, and so many artistic pumpkin carvings that are sure to delight all ages.
3. Spooky Attractions ($)
For those who prefer a super eerie experience, we’ve added some of the best haunted PAID attractions in the 613/819. These locations offer eerie vibes and hair-raising stories that will make your night time strolls feel like you’ve stepped straight into a horror movie.

Looking for inclusive and accessible Halloween fun? The map features top accessible trick-or-treating, ensuring that everyone—regardless of mobility or sensory needs—can enjoy a Halloween adventure full of treats, costumes, and festive fun! I’ve highlighted homes and attractions that let me know they have teal pumpkins or are accessible, so every little ghoul and goblin can have a safe and enjoyable experience this Halloween. With just a few clicks, you can explore the city’s spookiest spots, find nearby attractions, and get directions to each location directly from your phone.
Each location on the map is pinpointed with detailed information about what you can expect there—whether it’s a haunted house, a family-friendly event, or a spectacular Halloween display. You can also filter the map based on your interests, such as finding accessible trick-or-treating or the scariest haunted trails. The map updates in real-time, so you’ll always have the latest information at your fingertips.

Simple or elaborate displays that don’t involve a haunted walkthrough or interacting from the public (so viewing only allowed!) - you can simply add your house on the map directly by clicking on “add haunt” in the upper right corner of the 2024 Halloween Map: (however please feel free to use the REGULAR form, as this is a NEW feature I am testing this year, and it is bound to have a bug or two from my end, so thank you for your patience!)
